Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families?

If you answered yes, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Our All-Age Disability (0-25) Service is seeking a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Worker to join our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) team. This role offers a brilliant opportunity to be part of a close-knit team that supports children, young people, and adults with disabilities to increase their independence and quality of life.

About the Role

As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will work with parents and family carers to build their confidence and skills in implementing effective behaviour and communication strategies at home or in the community.

You'll work directly with families to help reduce behaviours that challenge by collaborating with family support networks, conducting functional behaviour assessments, setting achievable goals, and designing personalised support plans.

About You

We are looking for candidates with experience working with children, young people, or adults who have learning disabilities and/or autism and may display behaviours that challenge. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll work closely with families and various professionals.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Knowledge of learning disabilities and autism and an understanding of how these impact behaviour and communication.
  • Hands-on experience with Positive Behaviour Support or Applied Behaviour Analysis interventions.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with individuals with disabilities and a passion for making a difference.

For a full list of qualifications and requirements, please see the job description and person specification attached at the end of this advert.

Why Join Us?

This role is more than a job; it's a commitment to increasing quality of life through reducing the impact of behaviours that challenge while strengthening the skills and resilience of families, carers and staff. You'll make a direct impact on people's lives, helping to build strong and supportive communities.

If you're ready to bring your expertise, compassion, and dedication to a role where your work truly matters, we'd love to hear from you.
