The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.
We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health.
These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won't be solved by science alone.
We are looking for a Planning and Results Lead to join our team in the CEO's Office.
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
The role reports to the Associate Director (AD), Strategy . You will be enhancing programme and project management quality and capability at Wellcome while supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives across the organisation.
The CEO Office is a central nexus for ensuring the organisation's resources, processes, and activities are aligned to deliver Wellcome's mission and strategy. It has a crucial role in developing Wellcome's strategy, related programmes and initiatives, and monitoring organisational impact.
What will I be doing?
Your key responsibilities include developing integrated organisational planning tools, managing the OKR framework for alignment and optimisation, facilitating planning sessions with leadership, and leading an agile team, all while fostering an inclusive culture and adhering to Wellcome's values.
As a Planning and Results Lead, you will:
Develop integrated organisational planning tools and processes across functions as well as run corporate planning process and identify resource allocation trade-offs.
Develop OKR framework for Wellcome and establish and uphold a standard process of setting, implementing and measuring key objectives and results across the organisation.
Facilitate OKR Planning Sessions, leading regular OKR planning meetings with senior management and team leaders ensure alignment and commitment.
Lead on training and coaching, monitoring and reporting, cross-Wellcome co-ordination, stakeholder engagement and tool development to ensure that OKRs are embedded and their value to the organisation is optimised. Contribute to the creation and development of an inclusive culture across the organisation.
Manage, and motivate an integrated, agile and high impact team, ensuring that we have the right people in roles.
Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.

We are looking for a motivated professional with a strong understanding of an organisation mission and strategic priorities, possessing proven experience in strategic planning, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects across diverse stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who has:
The ability to grasp and develop an organisation's mission of key strategic priorities and how role relates to these.
Experience of delivering key projects/pieces of work to a high standard within tight deadlines.
The ability to work on multiple pieces of work across stakeholder groups, with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
Proven experience in a similar role in a strategic planning department.
Strong analytical and leadership skills.
Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
