Philanthropy Manager

The organisation:
We are so excited to be partnering with BBC Media Action to help them find a Philanthropy Manager to join their ambitious team, for a 12 month maternity contract. BBC Media Action is the BBC s international charity, working with partners around the world to provide impartial, impactful, and trustworthy media to those in need. They empower people to make informed choices that transform their lives, delivering stronger democracies, a safer planet, and more inclusive societies. In an era of disinformation, they use the power of media and communication to shape a more positive and equitable future for all.

You will be responsible for:

• Identify, cultivate, secure and steward mid-level and major gifts from both existing and prospective donors
• Focus on securing unrestricted or semi-restricted income for BBC Media Action
• Work closely with the wider fundraising team and leadership to build a strong donor pipeline
• Engage with philanthropic supporters and ensure the sustainability of BBC Media Action s impactful work.

Person specification:

• Proven experience in a fundraising role, with a track record of successfully stewarding major donors
• Experience of generating income in the £100,000+ range and personally securing gifts of £25,000 or more
• Demonstrated ability to develop tailored proposals for donors and effective fundraising communication
• Demonstrable experience of developing a pipeline of philanthropic donors from desk based research
• Financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively

What's on offer:
This role is offering a salary of £43,000 - £48,000 for this 12 month maternity contract. This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week in their London office. This is a fast moving role and applications will close as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
