Main tasks The UKE offers the opportunity to perform cutting-edge research within an excellent research environment. The junior research group of Priv.-Doz. Dr. Johann von Felden (homepage: ) focusses on translational research projects in the field of oncology, with the main objective to derive molecular biomarkers for implementing personalized cancer care for patients with liver cancer. We aim at deciphering mechanisms of hepatocarcinogenesis and identifying biomarkers to predict the response to therapies or improve early cancer detection. We utilize state-of-the-art technologies and modern analytical pipelines, incl. gene editing, murine liver cancer models, next-generation sequencing, and liquid biopsy approaches. Your tasks To continue our established biobank To plan and execute experiments, including the establishment of novel protocols and techniques incl.
