Job Description

West Somerset College is an inclusive and ambitious school catering for students aged 13 to 18, situated on the edge of the stunning Exmoor National Park. We are committed to providing a rich and varied education, ensuring every student reaches their full potential.

We are seeking both a full time and part time PE Teacher to join our team. As part of the Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust, we believe in putting students first and delivering engaging, inclusive, and high-quality education.

2 positions available Full Time and Part Time (0.5FTE)

Location: West Somerset College

Salary: Qualified Teachers Pay Scale

Anticipated start date: September 2025

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic PE Teacher. The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, PE lessons.
  • Plan and assess engaging lessons that cater to all abilities.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students well-being and personal development.

Although previous teaching experience is preferred, we welcome applications from newly qualified teachers (ECTs) who are eager to develop their careers in a supportive environment.
