We are hiring for a Paralegal with experience in loan contract extraction to assist in extracting and managing loan documentation for an interesting due diligence project within Group Treasury Liquidity.

You will have a strong understanding of legal documentation review and analysis, with particular expertise in loan agreements. This role is critical to ensuring the organization maintains compliance with regulatory changes and adheres to industry standards.

The ideal consultant will have experience working in banking or financial private practice environments with a strong legal background and familiarity with various types of loan documentation.

The individual must be a self-starter and must demonstrate they can juggle competing requirements plus have the ability to be directed to other areas of the project when required.

Key Responsibilities

Review and extract relevant loan documentation from a central database at the bank.

Identify and analyse specific clauses within loan agreements, including but not limited to facility commitments, transferability, and confidentiality clauses.

Assist in populating a data room to ensure organized and accessible storage of key documentation for stakeholders.

Work with banking and legal teams to meet project deadlines efficiently.

Collaborate with colleagues to streamline document extraction processes and identify areas for improvement.

Use document-sharing platforms such as Intralinks

Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Observe and promote the use of the Group's preferred programme management methods/tools.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Law degree (LLB or equivalent) with LPC or SQE qualification preferred.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a banking and finance practice of a reputable law firm.

Solid understanding of loan documentation, including syndicated loans, bilateral facilities, and revolving facilities.

Experience in reviewing financial and legal documentation to extract key information accurately.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail when identifying specific clauses or relevant data.

Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent organizational skills to manage and extract documentation methodically.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Experience in Intralinks or similar data room platforms (desirable but not required).

Experience with Liquidity rules LCR, NSFR (desirable but not required).
