Their purpose is to support sustainable new businesses at Lloyd's and to enable emerging and diverse talent to contribute to the profitable growth of the Lloyd's market.Role Summary As an Operations Technician, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with the delivery ofthe day-to-day operational functions of the organisation.This role requires a good understanding of the insurance industry, particularly within the Lloyd's market to ensure seamless delivery across various business units.Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesOperational Oversight: Assist with the delivery, creation, and optimisation of operational processes to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Assist with the implementation of best practices to streamline workflows and reduce operational risks. Assist with the creation and subsequent monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Identify opportunities for resource optimisation and cost reduction without compromising quality. Stakeholder Management: Assist with the collaboration with underwriters, claims professionals, and other key stakeholders to understand their operational needs. Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners, including brokers and service providers. Communicate effectively with different teams to ensure alignment on operational goals. Regulatory & Compliance: Stay on top of regulatory changes within the insurance industry and assist with any change in operational processes to comply with all relevant regulations. Work closely with legal and compliance teams to implement and monitor compliance initiatives.Technology Integration: Participate & collaborate with the IT team and vendors to implement and optimise the tech platform &/or any other systems as required to enhance operational efficiency. Participate in any process mapping & design, along with the production of any required procedure manuals and assist with any subsequent training as may be required. Participate in any UAT activities as may be required. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed recommendations for system upgrades.Risk Management: Assist with the identification of any potential risks and the development of strategies to mitigate them. Assist with the implementation of risk management protocols to safeguard the organisation against operational disruptions.Reporting and Analysis: Assist with the timely & accurate production of regular reports as may be required for internal & external stakeholders. Assist with performing data analysis to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for innovation. Processing: Support the Managing Agency & Syndicate(s) by performing the accurate processing as may be required within deadline &/or SLA, to include but not limited to: Data entry of inwards risks into the relevant policy admin system; bordereaux processing and analysis; data entry of outwards RI policies; outwards QS bordereaux & XoL recovery processing; agreement of LORS entries; credit control activities (inwards and outwards) & USM/SCM processing. Skills/Qualifications Experience in operations within the insurance industry, with a strong preference for Lloyd's market experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively internally & externally. Advanced skills in all aspects of Microsoft package Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACII, PMP) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
