The Global Engines department is a hub of innovation, dedicated to ensuring compliance and certification for cutting-edge engine technologies. Within this department, the Certification Development team oversees the critical process of obtaining and maintaining emission and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) certifications. From engine dyno and vehicle testing to creating comprehensive documentation, our team ensures products meet the highest regulatory standards.
We are currently seeking a talented and driven OBD Certification Documentation Author to join our team and contribute to the development and optimization of our certification processes.
Your Role
As an OBD Certification Documentation Author, you will be at the center of ensuring compliance by managing and creating essential certification documentation, including AECD, AES, and OBD reports. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with technical experts, refine documentation workflows, and develop tools for process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Development:
- Create and maintain certification documentation for AECD, AES, and OBD.
- Collaborate with technical experts to ensure accurate and compliant content.
- Plan, track, and review documentation updates to meet regulatory deadlines.
- Guide editing, reviewing, and approval processes.
Automation & Tooling:
- Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, XSLT) for automated documentation creation and review.
- Enhance and manage tools to optimize requirement and documentation processes.
Your Profile
We are looking for an organized, proactive professional with a strong technical background who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
Technical Expertise:
- Experience with heavy-duty diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, calibration, and/or On-Board Diagnostics.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, XSLT, etc.) and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Familiarity with DITA and related documentation tools is an advantage.
