Reporting to the Multiplatform Strategy Director (WH & MH), Women's Health's and Men's Health's Nutrition Editor is responsible for leading and executing the nutrition content strategy across both brands.

Working across all platforms - print, digital, video, social, events and any brand extensions in the UK - the Nutrition Editor will create compelling, market-leading content that exceeds KPIs and covers nutrition in the evidence-based, nuanced, responsible way that's required of two industry-leading health brands

Responsibilities
  • Leading and creating both brands' nutrition content across all platforms - meeting and exceed KPIs through traffic, engagement, e-commerce, video views and other channels as required.
  • Covering the nutrition beat for both brands; by staying abreast of new research, being plugged into the latest trends and attending new launches, you will lead the news agenda rather than following it.
  • Creating content that cuts through the noise in a crowded and confusing space by translating complex research into engaging, informative copy and understanding the issues our audiences care about.
  • Creating each brands' annual nutrition awards, working alongside the accreditation team to increase accreditation revenue.
  • Attending essential press trips and events, ensuring major client expectations are met.
  • To be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values.
  • You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time.
Qualifications
  • You'll have strong experience of writing for digital with proven understanding of SEO and social - Essential
  • You will have experience of writing for print - Desirable
  • You'll be proficient using CMS - Desirable
  • You'll have strong experience working for a high-profile lifestyle brand - Desirable
  • Ideally you will have managed a brand's core content pillar - Desirable
  • You'll be extremely knowledgeable on nutrition Essential
  • You'll have a nutrition qualification - desirable
  • You'll have strong existing relationships with nutrition PRs and brands -Essential
  • You'll have a bulging contacts books packed with industry leading nutrition experts - Essential
  • You'll be comfortable and experienced working in a fast-paced environment - Essential
  • You'll demonstrate excellent communication skills, be highly organised and have the agility to embrace the various demands of this role - Essential
