Network Infrastructure Solution Architect.

As a Solution Architect you will work within the Technical Service Area Network. We are focusing on operating and managing the Network and at the same time developing the next generation Network for a cloud-based application delivery, collapsing our Network, and running Network as a code to increase end user experience and Network availability for our business across all locations around the world. We work closely with suppliers and outsourced functions to govern optimal spend and cooperation within the Network domain.

Network Design & Architecture:
- The architect is responsible for both high-level and low-level network designs. This involves creating detailed blueprints for global WAN networks, which might include enterprise-level ISPs or large IT organizations.
- Technologies such as routing, switching, WAN optimization, MP-BGP, and VPLS will be key to ensuring that the network is scalable, secure, and efficient.

Cloud Networking & Multicloud Environment:
- This role emphasizes the integration of cloud networking solutions, especially in a multicloud environment, and the architect must understand how to link on-premise and cloud resources seamlessly.

Automation & Network as Code:
- The role requires familiarity with network automation and the ability to work with programming/Scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, and Git. The concept of network as code means treating network configurations and management in a programmable, automated manner.
- Experience with SD-WAN, SD-LAN, and integrating network components through APIs for seamless automation will be critical.

Network Security:
- Knowledge of security protocols and technologies such as Firewalls, VPNs, IPS, Proxy Servers, reverse-proxies, and load balancing is crucial for ensuring the network is secure and resilient.
- Micro-segmentation and profiling will be key for enhancing security within complex network environments.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Business Needs Alignment:
- The architect should be able to identify structural issues within the organization and apply architectural principles to resolve functional interdependencies and redundancies across silos.
- The role requires translating business needs into design solutions, ensuring the network infrastructure directly supports organizational goals and growth.

Expertise with Network Technologies:
- The architect needs experience with Cisco and Aruba environments, specifically in products like Cisco ICE, Aruba ClearPass, and Aruba Center. This might include configuring and managing network access control, wireless infrastructure, and network visibility.
- Experience in BGP, Internet routing, and 802.1x Network Access Control is important for the architect's ability to manage enterprise-level network designs.

Product Development & Release:
- An understanding of product development from ideation to release means the architect must consider the full life cycle of the solutions they design, ensuring they are scalable and adaptable to changing business needs and technological advancements.
