We are seeking an experienced Network Designer to join our Network Design & Innovation team. This team is responsible for developing global High-Level Network Designs in collaboration with our architects and designers. To ensure network designs align with ABN AMRO's overall IT strategy and Inspire ambitions, there is close coordination with the P&T Design & Engineering department.

The Network HLDs (High-Level Designs) are created as part of the roadmap for other Network Value Streams, including End-User, On-Prem, and Vortex. The ideal candidate should possess a broad range of network expertise, covering Network Routing and Switching, Proxies, Firewalls, Load Balancing, as well as Automation and Orchestration.

The team also handles complex network change requests, so strong communication skills, an ability to understand customer needs, and the capability to identify solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Solution Designs
• Deliver High-Level Network Designs
• Implement Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
• Provide handovers, guidance, and knowledge transfer to network teams during implementation
• Offer solutions to complex customer requests

Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of Cisco ACI, Cisco DNA, Load Balancing, Firewalls (Palo Alto), and VMware NSX
• Relevant certification: Cisco CCDP (or equivalent)
• Strong affinity for automation and knowledge of Python, YAML, JSON, and Ansible Tower
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in both English and Dutch
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Strong analytical skills, especially in handling complex requests and designs
