Job Description

Murex Finance Business Analyst/Configurator
We are looking for an Murex Business Analyst/Configurator to support and optimize financial reporting and accounting solutions for one of the largest financial institutions in the Netherlands. The client is seeking someone with deep expertise in Murex, specifically in the Finance and Accounting modules, to help translate complex business needs into clear IT solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate financial and accounting business needs into technical requirements.
  • Configure and maintain Murex for finance and accounting functionalities, including General Ledger (GL), P&L reporting, and financial statements.
  • Ensure alignment between various stakeholders (finance, accounting, IT teams) and manage expectations effectively.
  • Develop detailed implementation roadmaps for Murex configurations and oversee the solution delivery process during the discovery phase.
  • Conduct integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure seamless operation across Murex modules and external systems.
  • Identify and manage risks and provide continuous improvements throughout the product life cycle.

Ideal Profile

  • Multi-year experience in IT business analysis, especially within Murex Finance and Accounting modules.
  • Strong understanding of Murex system configurations, including General Ledger, P&L Reporting, Financial Reporting, and Datamart.
  • Experience in configuring and customizing Murex for finance and accounting functionalities.
  • Experience with Java, Unix (ability to work with Unix commands and logs), and SQL (writing and debugging complex queries).
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps teams and familiarity with regulatory compliance (IFRS, GAAP).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • A problem solver with a 'make it happen' mentality, eager to learn, coach others, and develop holistic solutions.
