You will be working for a well established and growing manufacturing business with a site based in the Cardiff area. The business operates in the heavy industry and is well known for their commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation. They are looking for an additional Maintenance Engineer to join them due to ongoing growth and high performance in the market.
Your new role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for upkeeping the smooth operation of maintenance for the business's manufacturing equipment. You will play a crucial role as part of the maintenance team where you will deliver both planned maintenance and reactive maintenance. By delivering on your maintenance activities, you will help to ensure continuous improvement of the maintenance process to reduce machinery downtime and associated costs and increase in production output.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance
• Repair and diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues with machinery
• Adhering to health and safety protocols

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to:

• Be an apprenticeship trained Maintenance Engineer
• Have a few years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment
• Being a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, candidates with an electrical or mechanical bias will also be considered for the position
• Have the ability to work well in a team as well as being the sole engineer
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail
