Job Description

12-month fixed term contract

Start date 18 August 2025

This role offers a salary of £19,500 and rewards package including up to 10% annual bonus, pension plan, employee discounts and flexible benefits, plus 31 days annual leave and 6 bank holidays. We also have a free onsite gym, subsidised restaurant and Coffee shop.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (full time).

The Business Administration - SCQF Level 6 programme will be available in 4 departments;

Onboarding - You will work in the Onboarding team to provide our customers with a first-class experience giving them the best possible start or end to their Business Stream journey while achieving market leading performance. Focusing on the capture of robust customer contact data to facilitate the issuing of an accurate and timely first or final invoice.

Sales - You will provide assistance to our Sales function who are responsible for the commercial growth of the business, identifying new business opportunities and building long-term relationships with our customers and suppliers through direct and indirect channels. They help our customers reduce the amount of money they spend on water and wastewater services by providing a range of services.

Customer Operations - You will have the opportunity to rotate round two teams within our Customer Operation function.

  • In the Metering and Billing team you will follow agreed processes to ensure that accurate meter readings are obtained and input to produce accurate and timely bills for customers and minimise market fines.
  • In Credit Management, you will be responsible for executing a range of early and late-stage recovery processes in order to resolve customer queries, improve cash collection and reduce aged debt in line with agreed KPI's and quality standards.

Key Customers - You will help manage Business Stream's highest profile customers. Your main job is to ensure that customers only need to reach out once with their queries. This includes setting expectations, giving updates, and working with the team to respond quickly.

We'll give you the support and learning you need to navigate our systems and policies, and to fully understand our business so you feel confident in your role.

Aside from a thorough understanding of the business water industry, you'll also learn about the other areas in our business and how we all work together to ensure our collective business goals are met.

You'll be given the tools and support you need throughout your apprenticeship to be confident in delivering an excellent service for our customers.

You'll develop a range of skills including communication, problem solving and team working skills, which will benefit you in your MA role and in future roles too.

Your role as MA will be busy, with no day the same, but you'll have support every step of the way and we'll offer lots of opportunities to develop your learning and understanding of the water industry.

And the best part, on completion of the MA programme, you'll gain an SVQ Level 6 qualification.

What qualifications / qualities are required?

To be considered for our MA Programme, we require you to have a minimum of National 5 in English & Maths (or equivalent).
