Contract M365 Software Developer (PowerFX) - Hybrid - 2 days onsite (Darlington, Coventry, Manchester, Sheffield)

  • Ongoing contract
  • Pay Rate: £470 UMB/£348.30 PAYE

Overview
The M365 Software Developer will join a lead government department contributing to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform solutions.

This role is integral in enhancing current systems, overseeing a small support team, and leading efforts to improve the Department's digital tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse requirements and design, build, and deploy SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • Manage a cross-site team of two Support Analysts to address technical issues and maintain solutions.
  • Ensure governance standards are met and that problem resolution is timely.
  • Identify areas for improvement and optimise existing systems and processes.
  • Write and execute PowerShell scripts for routine administrative tasks.
  • Mentor team members, encourage skill development, and stay updated with emerging technologies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Power Platform Expertise: Proficiency in PowerFX to develop complex functions within Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Application Development: Minimum of 1 year of commercial experience in application development.
  • Front End Skills: Competence in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • M365 and SharePoint Online Proficiency: Experience with M365 Admin Center, Teams, Delve, and Search.
  • PowerShell Scripting: Proven experience in Scripting for administrative tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively explain, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues with system users and vendors.
  • Continuous Learning: Strong interest in staying up-to-date with advancements in SharePoint Online and Power Platform.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
  • Knowledge of Front End tools such as React or TypeScript.
  • Background in SharePoint migrations.

Additional Considerations
Experience in SharePoint administration, service desk management, and Power Platform support will be highly regarded.
