Our Modern Slavery Response Team works with potential survivors of Modern Slavery identified via the National Referral Mechanism. We support thousands of survivors to access services to support their recovery and reintegration. This includes high quality emotional and practical support within a tiered support structure, within which the outreach teams work. We work in close partnership with key stakeholders and local partners to optimise outcomes for our service users. The Team Manager will be responsible for managing and coaching a high performing team to ensure the delivery of an excellent support service to survivors. They will also support with other management functions as required within the framework of the Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract and Hestia's internal processes.

As a Team Manager at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Modern Slavery Response Team . Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.
A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:
- Lead, develop and support a team of advocates to ensure high quality service delivery that achieves agreed standards of care and support, in compliance with the Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract requirements, and Hestia policies and procedures.
- Monitor the team's performance against contractual requirements and internal expectations.
- Motivate and support the team to deliver Hestia's vision and represent Hestia's values.
- Participate in recruitment; oversee induction; supervise and appraise staff; identify training needs; manage disciplinary and grievance procedures; and ensure that all tasks are carried out within Hestia's policies, procedures, and good practice guides.
- Deliver training, including inducting new starters and training existing staff on new systems and processes as required.
- Promote the aims and objectives of the organisation externally as required and represent the organisation by building effective relationships with purchasers, funders and external agencies.
- Support senior management with reporting both internally and externally to ensure the service is performing and ensuring best outcomes for service users.
- Work with the senior management team to enable the organisation to develop its aims and objectives by participating in meetings and processes to further organisational policy and practice development.
- Attend appropriate training, including specialist training courses to develop personal skills and knowledge relevant to the post.
- Empower service users and ensure a person-centred approach to the support provided.
- Deal with routine requests from colleagues (HR, finance, senior management, etc.).

- Ensure all incidents are reported to the necessary services, e.g. the police and the local authority, within strict timescales.
- Monitor internal and external financial processes e.g. expenses, collection/distribution of petty cash and reviewing Advocates financial recording.
- Manage the financial accountability of the team by operating within the agreed financial policies and procedures and to make best use of property, equipment and Information Technology.
- Adapt to change and be responsive to urgent needs of staff and clients.

We are looking for candidates who bring a combination of passion, expertise, and dedication to the table. To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Experience and understanding of working with or supporting vulnerable people
- Experience of team management including experience of recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training, disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Experience of performance monitoring to ensure consistently high service user standards
- Ability and experience of managing a service within budget
- Understanding of, and the ability to implement, good Equality & Diversity practice
- Proficient with computer systems and able to create accurate reports and support staff to use computer systems effectively by recording client data accurately and to a high standard
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately
- Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing and monitoring service user support and assessment plans
- Ability to write and interpret complex reports
- Excellent level of spoken and written English and grammar
