Mechanical Project Manager needed for Waste Water/Water Treatment/Sewage projects - £270 per day + package.

Job Title: Mechanical Project ManagerLocation: Multi-site (with travel required)Salary: Up to £275 per day (Outside IR35)Job Type: Contract (Hybrid working, mostly site-based)

About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee multiple projects within the wastewater, sewage works, and dirty water sectors. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage projects across various sites, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee mechanical projects related to wastewater, sewage works, and dirty water.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including SMSTS/SSSTS.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Handle project documentation and paperwork efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the wastewater, sewage works, or dirty water sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS certification is essential.
  • A gold or black CSCS card is required.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Previous experience with project documentation and paperwork.
  • Ability to travel to various sites as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
