Key Responsibilities:
- Use data science background to identify new opportunities to boost plant efficiency.
- Extract, transform, load, analyse and report complex manufacturing data from multiple data sources.
- Develop and Maintain a range of visualisation products to communicate insights including manufacturing data dashboards.
- Act as plant point of contact with our central innovation network, global data analytics & insights team, as well as the various IT departments within Ford Motor Company.
- Develop a digital/data science team within the plant.
- Deploy data analytical training and skills development within other departments within the plant.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, a Physical Science or a related quantitative field is required or equivalent experience relevant to the field in an engineering/automotive environment.
- Demonstrable problem solving skills and providing data support to manufacturing investigations.
- Demonstrable competence in automating data pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Big Data Analytics tools with experience of interfacing to Cloud based databases and data visualisation tools.
- Demonstrable skills in writing SQL to query databases and experience in Python programming language.
- Understanding of capabilities of current and future data analytical technologies.
- High degree of self-initiative, drive and flexibility.
- Strong ability to lead, motivate and work in a team.
- Resilience is essential. Candidates must be able to deal with difficult problems whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
Hours:Monday to Thursday 7:00-15:30 and Friday 7:00-12:30
