Management Accountant - Dumfries £36000 per annum

Your new company
My client is a group company based in Dumfries associated with the agricultural sector. They have grown significantly through acquisition and are recruiting a dedicated Management Accountant to join their Finance team of 8.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the new appointee will be responsible for Management Accounts preparation for 3 group businesses to trial balance.
Typical duties will include;

• Preparation of management accounts to trial balance for 3 group companies
• Processing accruals and prepayments
• Intercompany transfers
• Reconciliation
• Balance sheet reporting
• Preparation of the quarterly VAT returns and submission
• Payroll cover for holidays and sickness
• Assisting the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting

This role will suit a qualified by experience candidate or someone that is looking to progress and study for a formal accountancy qualification. Formal study will be supported by the business. You will be joining a high-performing, efficient and friendly team on-site at their Dumfries office.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous experience in a similar role or a ready to take the next steps in your career to progress. Sage 200 is advantageous. Payroll experience is also an advantage, although training and support will be given. You will be good IT skills including Excel and enjoy working well in a team environment.
