Management Accountant

Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 pa

Fixed Term Contract: 1 Year

Working hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week

Location: Surrey (Hybrid - 3 days working in the Office)

Job Purpose:

To work in a team with the responsibility of providing management information for the organisation and its subsidiaries. The role includes assisting in the preparation of the annual financial statements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate management information with commentary and analysis to senior managers and discuss with budget holders
• Analyse and work with complex spreadsheets and data sets to produce clear management information
• Support the production of the monthly reporting pack, which will include the maintenance and use of management information tools
• Coordinate with senior leaders in the provision of budget upload and phasing for different departments
• Review budget allocations and phasing on an annual basis
• Assist in the preparation of the Financial Statements
• Complete government statistical return, VAT returns, gift aid and landlords return
• Support in the maintenance of Risk Management system and Risk registers
• Carry out financial due diligence on potential collaborative partners escalating concerns or issues to relevant managers/ stakeholders

Person Specification:

• Part-Qualified Accountant or Finalist qualification (E)
• Excellent IT skills and experience, including the use of Financial Systems and able to create and use complex excel spreadsheets such as Lookup's and Pivot Tables (E)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to explain concepts to expert and non-expert audiences (E)
• Experience of Agresso/Unit 4 Business World (D)
