Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join our team and provide crucial maintenance support within our high-volume animal food production environment. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Undertake Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting on various production lines and equipment.
Carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines using the site CMMS (PEMAC).
Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations.
Plan and participate in the coordination of project works and planned shutdowns.
Carry out calibrations and recording of results.
Operate a permit-to-work system.
Liaise with other trades and contractors.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Support the Production Team in achieving targets.
Perform repairs on mechanical and control systems equipment, including pneumatics, steam, and hydraulics.
Keep work areas clean, including the workshop and stores.
Cooperate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
Be flexible if overtime is required.

Requirements:

Trades qualification with a strong Mechanical/Electrical background.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment (outside of apprenticeship).
Multi-skilled/cross-skilled ethos.
Aptitude for process awareness, with diagnostic/troubleshooting experience gained in a high-volume environment.
Good team player with the ability to use initiative.
Computer skills are an advantage.
Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health, and Safety.
Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance.
Comprehensive knowledge of high-speed mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation, and PLC-based control systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Additional Information:

Days role, but will require some flexibility in working hours; weekend working & callouts may be required to meet the demands of the site.
May be required to travel offsite on occasion for business purposes.
