Mac Engineer - 12 month contract - Umbrella engagement only - Midlands

Are you a Mac Engineer looking for your next project? I have an immediate 12 month contract with our Fintech client in the Midlands, looking for some additional support as part of their busy team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert support for Mac desktops and laptops.
• Manage and administer JAMF, ensuring smooth operation and compliance.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Act as 3rd line escalation point and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
• Work closely with team members and communicate technical information clearly.

I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Proven background working in a similar role supporting Mac systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Mac OS and Windows operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with JAMF administration and management.
• JAMF 300 certification is a plus; successful candidates must obtain this within the first 3 months if not already certified.
• Proficiency in Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Relevant certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional or JAMF Certified are highly desirable.
