36.5hpw / 41 weeks (term time + 2 weeks)
Grade 4 £33,366 - £40,476 FTE
Actual salary range £31099 - £37726

The Department
The Broadway Learning Resource Centre is a well-used and well-resourced space catering for 1250 students. It operates as an independent learning space and a key resource in supporting inclusion of all students. It also offers meeting space and provides a safe haven for quiet study. Following the promotion of the LRC manager, we are looking for a qualified and experienced specialist with a commitment and the aptitude to develop the LRC's out of hours delivery as well as lead on school literacy co-ordination and strategy.

The Role
You will:
Be educated to degree level (Librarianship) and ideally a member of CILIP
Have experience of library management and supporting young people with literacy
Have a wide knowledge of and love for literature and learning
Have excellent planning and organising and budget management skills
Able to manage effective working relationships with students and staff at all levels
Be a resourceful, creative and passionate advocate for improving literacy within the school and the promoting reading within the community
