Digital Skills are working with a growing tech company that builds and provides tools and services to a range of end clients. The company specializes in designing, building and continuously improving data enabling products. We are currently recruiting for a Lead Pre-Sales Architect who will work within the Sales team and be responsible for leading the Pre-Sales technical activities in our pursuit of new business and growth.

The organisation is focussed towards the public sector, and they will be looking to leverage this market while also looking to expand into the private sector including Insurance, Financial Services and Utilities.

A UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance is required for this role. If you don't hold SC clearance, we will support you to apply assuming you have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-sales technical engagement with clients, understanding their business needs and designing tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with sales and account management teams to drive business growth through technical expertise.
• Develop and present compelling technical proposals, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to customers.
• Design and advise on data streaming architectures, with a focus on platforms such as Kafka.
• Provide architectural guidance and ensure proposed solutions align with industry best practices and customer requirements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate technology choices and implementation strategies.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape to maintain a strong market position.
• Support the transition from pre-sales to delivery, ensuring a smooth handover to implementation teams.
• Conduct workshops, technical training, and presentations for clients and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience designing and scoping enterprise platforms and managed services, particularly in cloud-native and streaming solutions.
• Strong background in solving enterprise data and analytics challenges using modern technology stacks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including both core cloud services and DevOps methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms, including architecture design and integration into enterprise systems.
• Experience working in sensitive data environments within the public sector, ideally with cybersecurity considerations.
• Excellent written communication skills, with experience writing high-scoring technical responses for bids and proposals.
• Strong ability to engage with external stakeholders and build relationships to support business growth.
