Lead Cloud Engineer

Harvey Nash have partnered exclusively with the University of Leeds to recruit a Lead Cloud Engineer. This role is a key part of an ongoing digital transformation, focused on delivering scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.

The university has an ambitious strategy to enhance student education, research, and corporate systems through technology, data, and digital innovation. As Lead Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the Azure cloud platform and strategy, aligning it with the university's long-term goals. You'll establish a roadmap for cloud adoption and scalability, laying the foundation for critical infrastructure such as tools, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience of Interest:

Leading the delivery of cloud platforms and defining cloud strategy.

Developing a cloud platform in line with industry standards and best practices.

Providing escalated support and management in an Azure environment, optimising cost efficiency (FinOps), performance, and security.

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, containerisation, version control, and CI/CD using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Git.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and support team members in developing their cloud expertise.
