Laboratory Calibration Specialist

CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Calibration Specialist, on behalf of an industry leading Laboratory and Analytical services provider, to be primarily based on one of their client sites in Stevenage, on an initial 6 month contract basis.

The role is based in Stevenage.

Role:

• Carry out calibration services to Laboratory Instrumentation including but not limited to Balances, PH Probes, Temperature probes, pressure gauges, multimeters, and weights.
• Liaise with staff with regards to the services required for the efficient installation, maintenance, moves and relocations and support of proposed items of instrumentation.
• Qualify, redeploy and calibrate equipment, either by direct application of own expertise or develop knowledge via original equipment manufacturers training to ensure that those ramifications of new technologies are readily understood, in order to transfer the knowledge gained to respective team leaders and their team members via training sessions/schedules.
• Use knowledge and experience in helping to ensure that a high standard of safety of equipment is maintained.
• Offer guidance on scientific aspects of proposed equipment to be purchased.
• Perform Verification activities on equipment sent off site for Calibration, ensuring Customer requirements are met at all times.

Your Background:

• Educated to A level, degree level or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology or a related disciple with experience in a laboratory role.
• Experience in the calibration of Laboratory equipment including Balances, PH Probes, Temperature probes, pressure gauges, multimeters, and weights.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
