We are looking for a Knowledge Manager for a 12 Month contract based in Derby (2-3 days per week on site) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
We are seeking a highly motivated Knowledge Manager to enhance self-service capabilities for end-users by developing a comprehensive knowledge library. The role focuses on reducing reliance on the service desk by equipping users with clear, concise, and engaging knowledge resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in knowledge management, ITIL processes, and content creation, particularly in audio-visual formats.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Developing and maintaining a self-service knowledge library to empower end-users in resolving day-to-day IT issues.
- Creating high-quality, easy-to-read knowledge articles and engaging audio-visual content tailored to a mature audience.
- Continuously improve existing content to enhance clarity, usability, and effectiveness.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure knowledge content aligns with user needs and business objectives.
- Maintaining and optimize knowledge management systems, ensuring accessibility and ease of use.
- Promoting knowledge-sharing initiatives and drive user engagement through innovative solutions.
- Applying problem-solving and analytical skills to identify content gaps and improve knowledge retention.
- Working within an ITIL framework, leveraging IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow.
What we require from the Candidate:
- Demonstrable experience in knowledge management.
- Experience working with Knowledge Management systems and ITSM tools, particularly ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes or a relevant Service Management qualification.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with a systematic and rigorous approach to work.
- Strong analytical skills with an understanding of business context and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to create high-quality audio-visual content and knowledge articles.
- A people-oriented mindset with the ability to engage effectively with end-users and stakeholders.
