Inspire and Empower: Primary PRU KS2 Teacher Needed in Lichfield
Are you a passionate and experienced primary teacher ready to make a difference in the lives of young learners facing challenging circumstances?
The Bridge Academy, a thriving Pupil Referral Unit in Lichfield, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our team on a long-term basis, starting in January. We provide Day 6 provision for children who have been permanently excluded, or alternative provision to prevent a Permanent Exclusion. We are an all-age provision, and are looking for someone who is reliable, resilient, flexibly adaptive; and confident in their practice to work with vulnerable children in our school, and who is available to work immediately.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and inspire Key Stage 2 learners: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to a diverse group of students who have unique learning needs.
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment: Build strong relationships with students, fostering their emotional well-being and encouraging their growth.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school community: Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement strategies that support the academic and social-emotional needs of all learners.
- Work under the direction of the DHT: Collaborate effectively with the Deputy Headteacher to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching and learning.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS): Essential qualification for this role.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2: Proven experience working with primary school students, ideally in a PRU, AP, or SEMH setting.
- Strong understanding of child development: Knowledge of the developmental stages of primary school children and the ability to adapt your approach to their needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- A flexible and adaptable approach: Willingness to embrace new challenges and work collaboratively within a supportive team.
We are looking for full time (0.8 considered for exceptional circumstances), long-term with the necessary experience ideally within SEMH; AP / PRU and/or Special to meet the needs of the children, or class, as stated above.
This is a full-time role, starting in January, working Monday to Friday. Pay rate: £175 - £185 per day.
