About the Role

Are you passionate about sustainability and keen to make a difference in the fight against climate change?

Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Carbon Management and Sustainability Executive to join the team. This entry-level position is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research, consultancy, communications, and sales support, while contributing to projects that drive meaningful sustainability change.

About the Company

Our client is a forward-thinking sustainability consultancy dedicated to helping businesses reduce their environmental impact. Their services include carbon footprint assessments (across all three GHG Protocol Scopes), carbon reduction strategies, and certified carbon credit offsets aligned with the Verified Carbon Standard and UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Their team is committed to enhancing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, improving stakeholder engagement, and fostering corporate reputations while building long-term business resilience. They guide businesses through every phase of their net-zero journey, offering customised strategies to reduce emissions and navigate the voluntary carbon market.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about sustainability, highly organised, and eager to learn. If you have strong research skills, an eye for detail, creativity in communications, and a collaborative mindset, our client would love to hear from you!

Your role would include assisting the team with:

1. Research Support:

  • Research projects and track industry trends.
  • Updating internal legislation and standard trackers.
  • Research on sustainability best practices, regulations, and industry developments.
  • Developing clear and engaging communications around changing legislation, standards, and updates.

2. Consultancy Support:

  • Data collection, analysis, and client report preparation.
  • Development of carbon footprint assessments, sustainability plans, and other consultancy projects.

3. Communications & Events Support:

  • Drafting of social media posts, blog entries, and other content.
  • Updating the website and social media.
  • Coordination of marketing campaigns, including email newsletters and events.
  • Help manage and update the company s website and social media platforms.

4. Sales Support:

  • Preliminary research on potential clients and industry trends to support sales efforts.
  • Preparing proposals, client presentations, and sales materials, using tools including Canva.
  • Maintaining and updating client information in their HubSpot CRM system.

Essential Skills They Need From You:

  • Passion for Sustainability: Enthusiastic, proactive and curious about sustainability and current trends.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, to create clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Research Skills: Ability to conduct research and consolidate information for the team.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: A strong team player, supporting colleagues effectively.
  • Eager to Learn: Proactive with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

They require candidates to have a relevant degree or work experience in sustainability, environmental science, business, communications, or a related field.

Ideally, you will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with CRM systems, Canva, social media platforms, and basic website management.

Benefits They Offer All Their Staff:

  • 33 days annual leave (including public holidays)
  • Flexible working hours (including seasonal hybrid working)
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Monthly Staff breakfast

Optional Benefits

  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Private healthcare scheme
  • Electric Car - salary sacrifice scheme
  • 1 day each year to volunteer

Your personal development is important to our client and as the consultancy grows, this role can evolve, with the opportunity for the Junior Executive to take on more specialised responsibilities or progress to a more senior position.
