IT Support Manager

  • Annual Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
  • Location: Cambridge, UK
  • Job Type: Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)

A leading law firm is committed to leveraging innovative IT solutions to enhance the success of the firm. They are seeking an IT Support Manager to oversee the delivery of IT support services at their Cambridge office, ensuring alignment with their business goals and performance targets. This role involves comprehensive management duties, project involvement, and coordination across multiple locations to maintain high standards of IT service.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provision of IT Services:

    • Manage daily IT service functions in Cambridge, ensuring effective resource deployment.
    • Monitor system performance and capacity, taking corrective actions as needed.
    • Utilize IT to solve complex business issues and maintain service continuity during disruptions.
    • Represent the IT support team internally and externally to establish credibility.
  • Project Management:

    • Lead assigned technical projects, ensuring completion within time and resource constraints.
  • Supervision of Staff:

    • Manage the IT support teams in Cambridge in collaboration with the Director of IT.
    • Handle recruitment, training, performance reviews, and staff development.
    • Address performance issues and disciplinary matters in conjunction with HR.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with legal applications such as document management and case management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft 365, and Intune (MDM).
  • Familiarity with modern workplace technologies like AV and room booking systems.
  • Strong understanding of user hardware and different working styles.
  • Previous supervisory experience with effective delegation skills.
  • Capable of performing in a similar role in a comparable environment.
