IT Support Engineer - 3-6 Month Contract - Tenbury Wells, Worcester

Are you ready to make an impact in the retail IT space? One of the largest global technology companies are seeking a talented IT Support Engineer for an initial 6-month contract to help implement and maintain a cutting-edge retail IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Implement a standardized retail IT infrastructure in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, aligned with business strategy and requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT solutions supporting fuels and convenience retail operations.
Adhere to and uphold operational standards and policies.
Provide installation, setup, and training related to Retail IT infrastructure.
Deliver both onsite and remote support for Retail IT systems, including cloud-based and Legacy POS systems, Back Office solutions, fuel controllers, fleet and loyalty programs, and cloud-based Back Office platforms.
Perform preventive maintenance on technologies associated with the Retail IT infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
Proven ability to meet and deliver on targets.
Knowledge of retail Point of Sale (POS) solutions, with five years of experience supporting a retail environment, is an advantage.
Solid networking background with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
Experience with POS systems in a service station environment is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Project management experience and/or certifications are beneficial.
Own transportation is required.
Must be willing to travel.

Day Rate: Negotiable
