Job Description:

AMS is the world's leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service acts as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provides professional interim and temporary resources. We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for an IT Support Analyst for a 12 Month contract based in London.

We are seeking a confident, proactive, and technically well-rounded IT Support Analyst to join our London office-the largest in our global network, supporting nearly 3,000 staff. You will be a dedicated IT support presence in this high-demand location, providing hands-on support across a wide range of technologies and user needs.

As a member of the Client Services team, you'll be expected to handle everything from frontline troubleshooting to hardware builds and network patching. This is a dynamic and people-facing role that requires excellent communication skills, a high degree of autonomy, and confidence in interacting with all levels of staff, including senior leadership.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Deliver hands-on, in-person IT support across the office, including deskside and walk-up requests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Set up and build laptops, with experience using Autopilot for deployment
  • Provide user support for Microsoft 365 suite, Microsoft Teams, and various engineering applications (including AutoCAD)
  • Support the server room environment with basic patching, maintenance, and monitoring (3rd line will handle server-specific issues)
  • Provide basic instruction to users and guide them in adopting new technologies
  • Manage incidents and service requests via ServiceNow
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and tech setup for new starters

Key Accountabilities, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a hands-on IT support role (ideally in a similarly demanding environment)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software
  • Experience supporting AutoCAD or similar engineering software
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Autopilot and laptop provisioning processes
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Teams
  • Solid understanding of wireless networking and common connectivity issues
  • ServiceNow experience (or similar ITSM platforms)
  • Comfortable with light server room duties (patching, basic maintenance)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to support and guide users at all levels, including senior leadership
