IT Infrastructure Director - Cambridge

My client is looking to recruit an experienced IT Infrastructure Director to lead the provision of IT Infrastructure services across multiple geographical locations. This role will involve the design and implementation of long term strategic goals and short term tactical plans for the management and maintenance of systems and software based on business need.
The Infrastructure Director will take responsibility for building and supporting the underpinning IT Services, developing and revitalising the existing IT team.
Reporting into the CEO with functional direction from the Group CIO, the IT Infrastructure Director will drive forward organisational change, enhance business readiness, improve efficiency and ensure the successful delivery of critical technology initiatives.

Balancing strategic and operational responsibilities, the IT Infrastructure Director will:

• Build and lead IT teams, undertaking mentorship and development along with performance management
• Develop and communicate a clear vision for IT Infrastructure
• Undertake risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships and stakeholder engagement
• Ensure the security of the IT Infrastructure, ensuring data protection/compliance
• Lead IT projects from inception through to completion.
• Manage budgets
• Develop and maintain the technology roadmap

The successful candidate will possess demonstrable skills in Team Management and be able to foster a high performing culture. You will have managed large scale IT Projects and be technically competent with Servers, networking and data centres along with a strong background in Cybersecurity. You will have a proven ability to seamlessly integrate IT systems.
