Job Description

Role/Department:

This role offers an opportunity to join the Investment Management Support (IMS) team and contribute to the success of a growing Investment Operations outsourcing platform.

The IMS team provides comprehensive transition services to Investment Managers, including institutional clients managing pooled funds, LDI, and segregated mandates. Products covered include OEICs, Sicavs, QIFs, onshore/offshore unitised pooled vehicles, swaps, repos, futures, equities, and bonds.

We are seeking a Transitions Manager to oversee and deliver accurate project management and timely completion of client events, including new business transitions, fund launches/closures, restructures, custodian changes, and static data updates, fund launches/closures, restructures and custodian changes.

Location: London, UK (3 days onsite)
Duration: 12months +
Rate: £400 a day Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate transition activities such as in-specie transfers, custody changes, market account openings, and standing instruction updates.
  • Ensure all transitions are completed accurately and on time.
  • Act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, custodians, and business unit partners.
  • Apply operational expertise in investment management, back and Middle Office workflows, and complex operating models.
  • Lead projects with strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Maintain effective relationships with vendors and counterparties to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Work independently with in-depth knowledge of relevant processes and functions.
  • Drive internal or client-driven change projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Chair regular stakeholder meetings, ensuring milestones, SLAs, and KPIs are achieved.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the IMS group, identifying and implementing process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Strong client service skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proven project management and leadership experience.
  • Problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to unfamiliar challenges.
  • Knowledge of market instruments such as bonds, equities, FFX, pooled funds/unit trusts, and derivatives (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools and ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Experience in financial services with a strong client focus.
