About the Team

The Registration Investigations Team (RIT) was formed by merging the Incorrect and Fraudulent Entry Team (IE/FE) and the Registrar and Appeals Support Team (RAST) into one. RIT is responsible for managing and investigating all registration related concerns involving applications to join or rejoin the register, registration renewals, and the misuse of protected titles.

About the role

In your role, you'll be part of a specialised team responsible for investigating a high-profile, complex issue. In doing so, you'll gather and analyse information that will assist the Investigating Committee and the Assistant Registrar in their decision-making processes.

This is an important role in helping the NMC ensure it fulfils its statutory obligation to protect the public and in maintaining the integrity of our register of nurses, midwives and nursing associates.

About You:

  • Experience of working in an administrative environment with a strong focus on casework/caseload management
  • Excellent IT skills - outlook, adobe, word and experience of working with excel spreadsheets
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines
  • Analysing complex information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work to own initiative and take ownership of own work
