About Us:
Hays Accountancy and Finance and working exclusively with a client in Northampton who are looking for a credit controller to join their dedicated finance team.
They are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to manage and collect outstanding debts, ensuring their financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor customer accounts and identify overdue payments.
• Contact clients via phone, email, and letters to secure payments.
• Negotiate payment plans and resolve payment issues.
• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to address discrepancies.
• Prepare regular reports on account status and collection efforts.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage or XERO and MS Office.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
