Innovation Solutions Architect

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for an Innovation Solution Architect for a 6 month contract with possibility of extension based in Edinburgh or London on a hybrid basis.

Purpose of the Role:

Sitting within the Innovation and Partnership team, this cross-domain team requires close collaboration, engaging with both tech and non tech stakeholders to assess and ensure alignment and feasibility on a variety of projects while pushing innovative technical ways of working.

As an Innovation Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Creating solutions from basic ideas, ensuring alignment and feasibility with business objectives and product vision. Analysing the feasibility of proposed solutions within technology and focusing on innovative approaches that push beyond traditional methods, ensuring solutions are dynamic and not stagnant.
• Collaborating with vendors and stakeholders to understand their capabilities and integrate their offerings into the solution while engaging with Fintech companies to evaluate and incorporate their technologies
• Fostering strong partnerships to drive innovation and ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Demonstrating proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, with a general understanding of cloud technologies and knowledge of emerging technologies.

The role requires:

• Proven experience as Solutions Architect, analysing feasibility within the technology landscape, and focus on innovative approaches that ensure solutions are dynamic and adaptable.
• Experience working closely with vendors and stakeholders (both tech and non tech, internal and external).
• Demonstrate proficiency in Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure and possess knowledge of emerging technologies.
• Hold experience in a regulated industry.
• Experience within financial services background (desirable).
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and Digital Assets (desirable).

This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
