Infrastructure Engineer (Monitoring & Backup)

Role: Monitoring & Backup Engineer

Location: Northampton (On-site working for probation and 3 days per week thereafter)

Salary: negotiable dependent on experience

We are currently working with a large-scale IT Service organisation, who currently require a highly experienced Monitoring & Backup Engineer. You will be the "go to" for all things monitoring, backups and alerts. You will have strong commercial experience of working with varied tools related to monitoring and backups and be savvy when it comes to dealing with alerts. Any previous experience of working with Veeam would be highly advantageous.

Skills and experience required:

o Excellent experience in a role supporting, monitoring, and improving customers estates using monitoring solutions.
o Experience speaking with both senior management internally and externally on critical/high priority issues as well as management/communication of incidents via an ITSM tool
o Core Networking skills are expected and exposure to supporting both on-premise and cloud network environments
o Strong knowledge of monitoring tools & alerting systems
o Strong knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam for Microsoft 365.
o Experience monitoring and configuring RMM tools, Backup monitoring tools, SIEM tools, Anti-virus solutions.

Please note, the role will be on-site 5 days per week during probation period (3 months) and will move to hybrid model thereafter. Please consider this when applying for the position. The client are Northampton based but you must be comfortable with visiting client sites when required.
