The Organisation
Our client is a charity supporting the needs of people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans.
They are now looking for an Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) to join them on a fixed-term basis until March 2025, with potential for extension (dependant of funding), working 37 hours per week.

The Role
As an Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA), you will provide vital casework support to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans victims-survivors of sexual violence, ensuring they feel heard, safe and supported.
Specifically, you will act as the single point of contact for victims-survivors, ensuring their safety and guiding them through the criminal justice system while helping them explore their reporting options.
Additionally, you will provide consultation services to other services to help them meet the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans communities, support the co-ordination of an integrated DASV programme and provide safeguarding support to colleagues delivering frontline services.
About You
To be considered as an Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA), you will need:
- Case management experience in a similar role
- Experience of assessing risk, working with those in crisis, and navigating the criminal justice system
- Knowledge of domestic abuse, sexual violence and safeguarding processes, such as MARAC
- An understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans communities and their unique needs
- The ability to work confidently, calmly and compassionately in emotional or challenging situations
- Completion of an ISVA training qualification
