Job Description
Your new role

I am excited to be partnering with Norwich University of the Arts in central Norwich in their search for an HR Partner.

They are one of the Great British art schools: a specialist creative arts university with an award-winning campus that draws on 175 years of history. The University is a vibrant community that forms the beating heart of the city and the region's arts and cultural worlds. They celebrate diversity and believe it to be at the core of any creative endeavour.

You'll be joining a forward-thinking People Team with ambitious plans! They are seeking an exceptional HR Partner to support the implementation of their People Strategy and be the HR lead for policy development as well as the delivery of the University's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) agenda.

The HR Partner will explore new legislative developments, trends, and emerging industry best practices and build strong relationships with university colleagues to champion the University's position as a leading creative arts education employer in the UK.

There will also be the opportunity to be involved in interesting change projects and to work closely with the Associate Director of Organisation Development to drive their change and development agenda.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a true HR generalist with experience supporting complex organisations. Proven policy development experience is essential, including shaping policies from scratch and leading evidence-based ED&I projects. Ideally, you will also have experience in delivering change, performance management, and organisational development.

With a strong knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application, you will confidently use your professional judgement to advise on business matters and their people impacts.

Joining a growing People Team, being a self-starter, solutions-driven, and curious is critical, and you will enjoy being part of a small team with big ideas.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as is the ability to manipulate and analyse data, and to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Candidates will also ideally be degree-educated and professionally qualified with a relevant Level 7 post-graduate qualification or evidence of competency at a similar level.

What you'll get in return

Norwich University of the Arts supports continuous learning. They offer 26 days' leave plus bank holidays (plus concessionary days) and a very generous Local Government Pension Scheme, where the University currently contributes 24.4%. Hours are 37 per week and the role can be a 4 or 5-day week contract, and they operate a hybrid policy with 3 days onsite per week.

If you have the ambition, enthusiasm, and determination to make a positive impact, I would love to hear from you! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly forward-looking People Team with the scope and support for you to genuinely grow your skills and professional expertise.
