The People and Capability Team provide services in Recruitment, Onboarding, HR Policy, Employee Lifecycle Processing, Workforce Planning, Case Work, HR Business Partnering, Pay and Reward, Learning and Development, Pensions and People Strategy to name a few! About the Job

As an HR Operations Assistant, you will contribute to the effective delivery of transactional HR services in our Employee Lifecycle Team processing; ministerial change, staff exit, family leave, outbound loan and secondment, change to working hours and pension requests, in line with HR policy and procedures and payroll deadlines. The team are the first point of contact for HR queries and have an excellent reputation for providing outstanding levels of service, supporting each other through regular contact and knowledge sharing.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop knowledge handling and processing HR requests effectively and keep skills up to date in line with emerging changes.
  • Process HR requests compliantly in line with HR policy and procedures, escalating challenging cases when required.
  • Effectively organise work activity to ensure HR requests are processed in accordance with payroll deadlines and query response times.
  • Manage customer expectations, as part of providing an outstanding customer service.
  • Accurately update HR systems and pay instructions with people data in line with operating procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues in wider service teams to achieve positive service outcomes.
