HR Manager - Faversham
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced standalone HR Manager to join a business of 30 employees. The role is perfect for a proactive, hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Looking for an ambitious, self-motivated, diligent, CIPD qualified professional who embraces change.
Reporting directly to the business leaders the HR Manager will support the business grow by developing existing teams and recruiting in line with business need.
The successful applicant will:
Manage all elements of the employee lifecycle of the workforce. (Attraction, Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance, Retention and Separation).
Provide HR best practice advice to the Directors and SMT.
Coach and support the managers with learning and development and people management.
Support and guide with disciplinary, grievances, performance issues and absences.
Ensure company policies are up-to-date, relevant and compliant to employment legislation.
Prompt the line managers to undertake documented monthly one to ones, 6 monthly PDP reviews and annual appraisals with their direct reports.
Organise relevant training and maintain the skills matrix and CPD hours record for the workforce.
Ensure all HR data on the HR drive and online HR portal is current.
Adhere to the ISO 9001:2015 standard ensuring HR processes ensure staff are competent to undertake their roles.
Be proactive in acknowledging relevant national awareness days to the team innovatively.
Be a role model for change initiatives and lead by example on the behaviour and attitudes expected to enhance a positive friendly professional working environment.
Present at quarterly townhall meetings on HR matters.

Friendly, personable, professional at all times.
Ability to comfortably communicate to all levels of staff with clear well informed communications both verbally and written.
Self-motivated to naturally be proactive to plan foreseen tasks to head off unnecessary urgency.
Confident to lead on HR employee relations issues using best practice experience.
100% reliable to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
Comfortable in guiding business leaders and heads of area on HR matters.
Great role model for the business in terms of dress, professionalism, in leading the way on adhering to policy guidelines and best practice.
Embraces change and company decisions to encourage roll out and take up across the business.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task with ease.
Skills and experience
Solid experience working in a standalone HR role with a strong working knowledge of HR best practices and procedures.
Organised and methodical to manage a number of separate tasks simultaneously.
Manage competent up to date data across the HR arena ensuring all relevant information is saved to the HR drive and HR portal, ensure HR documents are not left in Outlook.
CIPD Level 5 or above.
5 years relevant work experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal across all levels of the business, conversing in a clear and polite manner.
Strong IT skills and competent with Office 365 programmes.
Accurate typing skills with good English grammar.
Role framework
Hours 37.5 hour a week with 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Hours 9.00 am to 5.30 pm
100% full-time Faversham office based role
