What you'll do

• Handle and give advice on issues like anti-social behaviour or possession cases.
• Help other teams within Home Group, to understand and respond to property litigation matters and claims.
• Oversee work given to outside firms, making sure it's done well and effectively.
• Preparing applications ready for court or tribunal, carrying out research, preparing disclosures, and writing statements.
• On Occasion you may be required to represent the company in court or request that another lawyer do so. A
• ssisting with other property legal issues, such as disrepair, when necessary.

You'll join a skilled, welcoming team of Housing and Property Litigation experts, led by Robert, an experienced housing lawyer and supportive mentor. Outside of work, Robert's passion for running keeps him busy as a qualified coach-always ready to share legal insights or marathon tips!

You are

• A qualified legal executive, solicitor, or barrister with experience in housing law and housing litigation, capable of managing your own caseload.
• A problem solver, working on a wide range of different case types including ASB, Leasehold, injunctions, and possession cases, offering advice on a wide range of topics to find the best solution for the customers and business.
• Negotiating out-of-court settlements, with an insight into court rules regarding costs, drafting and preparing court or tribunal documents, attending court proceedings where required.
• Knowledgeable / have experience in dispute resolution and offering dispute avoidance advice with a firm understanding of civil procedure rules and housing law.
• Capable of working independently yet effectively as part of a wider team.
• An effective communicator with robust interpersonal skills, able to interact successfully with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.

Job details

• You'll manage your own diary, so if you need to nip out to walk the dog or do the school run, we're ok with that!
• This is a hybrid role, and you'll likely spend at least 2 days in the office and up to 3 days working at home, although adaptable to business needs.
• This is a full-time role but we are open to negotiating your working pattern.
