Job Description
Hospital Porter - £12.07 p/h PAYE - Nights & Sat £17.03 Sundays £22.11 - Shift rota 7 days - days and nights
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be physically fit due to the nature of the tasks required. You will need to be able to work on a rota which may include working both night and day shifts and across 7 days so some weeks there will be weekend working.
You will also need to be able to get a DBS completed or have one already completed within the last 3 months.

Your new company
You will be working for a large maintenance company at Churchill Hospital
Your new role
You will working as a hospital porter undertaking a variety of tasks as required.
These can include
- Transportation or escorting of patients on bed/trolley/chair etc. and all other general portering duties within the site.
- Dealing politely, efficiently and professionally with patients, other staff and visitors at all times.
- Delivery/relocation of products/materials, furniture, equipment, post and supplies within the site.
- Bagging, segregation and transportation and disposal on-site of rubbish and waste materials of all descriptions.
- Salting and gritting of Car Park as required.
- Ad-hoc mechanical cleaning and other cleaning as required.
- When on night shift, deliver linen requirements to all wards and departments to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Cleaning and general upkeep of wheelchairs using correct cleaning substance provided.
- To use computerised helpdesk system to log and close off job requests, and allocating jobs tasks when required
