Horticultural Machinery Technician Loughborough Up to £17 p/hr

Job Title: Horticultural Machine Technician, Repairs and Maintenance

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Pay: Up to £17 an hour (Umbrella). Types of pay include Umbrella or PAYE. CIS is not paid.
• Position: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Your new role:

• Diagnose, service, and repair all site horticultural and ground maintenance equipment within budget and standards. Ensuring the works are completed to the deadlines and occasionally work alternative hours inline with the needs of the department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Service and repair vehicles, including plant, tractors, trailers, and other equipment.
• Use the FM asset management tool to plan, prioritise, and record work.
• Arrange minor repairs with approved suppliers as directed.
• Deliver and collect machinery, equipment, and spares as needed.
• Perform monthly checks on horticultural and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Ensure fine turf machinery/equipment has optimal cutting performance.
• Test equipment for Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) and maintain records.
• Keep the work area safe, organised, clean, and tidy.
• Perform periodic checks of fuel tanks and stores
