Are you a passionate and experienced History educator ready to lead and inspire a thriving department? We are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join our school in Havering, East London, on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Inspire a passion for History and critical thinking in students, fostering curiosity about past events and their impact on the present.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the school's curriculum, using innovative teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, implementing effective interventions to ensure all learners achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental development and whole-school initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development to continually enhance teaching practice.

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed History teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History or a related subject.
  • Has a proven track record of delivering engaging lessons and raising student achievement.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and a passion for creating innovative learning experiences.
  • Is passionate about History and has the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working and professional growth.
