Health & Safety Advisor
The successful candidate
The successful candidate will have a hands-on, collaborative attitude with a passion and a proven track record with successful coaching and engagement. You will be able to adapt and support the continuous improvement of a fast-growing business and drive your own workload.
You will be somebody who wants to see a long-term project through and stay with an organisation for the long term.
You will have 3 years Health & Safety experience as an Officer, Advisor or Manager, ideally in a manufacturing setting and supporting with ISO accreditations.

Are you a Health & Safety professional seeking an exciting challenge at a growing manufacturing organisation?
Hays Health & Safety are working with an environmentally conscious and forward-thinking manufacturing organisation based at the heart of Lancashire, to find a hands-on Health & Safety Advisor.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing and has extensive knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation, ideally knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001 accreditations also.
Your new role
- Generate, develop and implement Health & Safety documentation for the site and continuously improve this.
- Complete RAMS and site audits, implementing and communicating corrective measures to site teams.
- Identify individual and site training needs and proactively organise and deliver this training.
- Manage all relevant Health & Safety communication.
- Implement Health & Safety specific targets on site and support, coach and engage teams in order to achieve these.
- Support the General Manager to streamline processes and improve the quality of the operation.
- Encourage incident reporting and investigate all incidents with clear corrective action communicated.
