At Invictus Education Trust, we pride ourselves on being bold, forward-thinking, and relentless in our pursuit of excellence. As part of our Trust, you'll benefit from a robust and experienced central team who handle operational needs, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.

We have six secondary schools and one primary school, serving over 5,500 students across Dudley and South Staffordshire. Wombourne High School is undergoing a period of rapid growth and transformation, with a brand-new state-of-the-art rebuild ready to open in September 2025. Together, we are committed to ensuring every child has access to the best education and life opportunities, and we are looking for a leader who shares our passion for excellence and equity.

  • Be committed to fostering a unified community that benefits from the collective resources and expertise of the Trust.
  • Will inspire and lead with passion, ambition, and vision, driving the highest expectations for students and staff.
  • Can deliver exceptional results while working within a political and funding environment of limited financial resources, demonstrating resilience, creativity, and ingenuity.
  • Is a proven, effective leader who thrives on achieving outstanding outcomes for all.
  • Is wholeheartedly committed to the growth and development of both students and staff, empowering them to excel.
  • Values collaboration and is eager to work closely with the CEO, DCEO and fellow Headteachers across the Trust, and the Central Team.
  • Relishes accountability and sees it as an opportunity to foster positive change.
  • Will lead the school in delivering consistently high-quality teaching, impactful interventions, innovative curriculum design, and a dynamic learning environment.

What we offer:

  • At Invictus Education Trust, we understand the importance of supporting and empowering our leaders. In return for your passion and dedication, we offer:
  • A once-in-a-career opportunity to lead Wombourne High School during an exciting period of growth and development.
  • A state-of-the-art rebuild, with cutting-edge Science and Design Technology facilities, opening the door to limitless potential for students and staff.
  • A dynamic and collaborative environment where innovation and new ideas are celebrated.
  • Teachers' terms and conditions, including the Teachers' Pension Scheme.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme to support your wellbeing.
  • The chance to be part of a growing and ambitious Multi Academy Trust making a real difference in the lives of young people.

We are looking for a Headteacher who:

  • Thrives on challenges and sees opportunities in every situation.
  • Is passionate about making a difference for every child, values diversity, and fosters a culture of inclusion and respect.
  • Understands how to achieve big ambitions on a limited budget, leveraging creativity, strategic thinking, and collaboration.
  • Has the skills and experience to build on the school's existing strengths, while driving it to even greater heights.

If you are ready to take on this exciting leadership role and want to make a lasting impact in a school with ambition, determination, and unlimited potential, we would love to hear from you!
