- Join us in NatWest Group Financial Control where you'll be leading a team that is responsible for the delivery of the consolidated financial statements and statutory reporting disclosures, and other outputs including FINREP reporting for the bank's main entities and groups

As Head of Financial Statements & Disclosure Reporting, you'll ensure the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information, including balance sheet, profit and loss account, internal and external reporting and other supporting data. Working with global teams and locations, you'll be helping to shape the strategy and operating model for Group Financial Control, with the overriding objective of establishing and maintaining trust and confidence of customers and stakeholders.
We'll expect you to bring relevant accounting knowledge and experience and lead a team to deliver a full set of high quality and accurate financial statements to support the wider financial, statutory, regulatory and management reporting requirements and external audit within agreed timelines.
Through the course of your work, you'll:
- Lead a global team to deliver accurate financial reporting
- Play a lead role in the monthly close and quarterly reporting processes, working with, and providing direction to, key stakeholders across Finance, including Finance Transaction Control, Financial Control, legal entity controllers, tax teams, and external audit to meet these responsibilities
- Shape the strategy and operating model for Disclosure Reporting within Group Financial Control and act as a member of the Group Financial Control leadership team, challenging how we do things and leading change to support the Global Process Owner model
- Provide leadership on continuous improvement projects as well as mandatory and discretionary projects to automate and streamline Group Financial Control activities
- Lead and ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the team's controls
To succeed in this role, you'll bring extensive post-qualification experience in a finance environment, preferably the financial services industry or medium to large corporates. You'll have experience of working at a senior management level, with multiple reporting lines across a global matrix environment. We'll also look for the ability to facilitate optimal use of key finance technologies such as Oracle.
We'll also look to you to bring:
- Significant, in depth and up to date knowledge of statutory reporting requirements applicable to the financial statements of the bank
- Prior experience of consolidation and financial statement preparation
- Experience of providing senior management and executives with detailed financial information
- The ability to identify, build and enhance key relationships and challenge as needed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
- The ability to deliver high quality outputs to tight deadlines
