A Lloyd's Market Insurer is looking for a Head of Digital Engineering to join their team on a permanent basis to lead their strategic vision and provide technical expertise to deliver scalable, secure and innovative digital solutions.

This role will have you define and execute the digital engineering strategy to meet the business' needs and goals while leading a team of engineers. With a future-looking mindset, you will oversee the delivery of solutions with a focus on designing, developing and implementing cloud-native architectures, microservices and AI-driven solutions. The delivery and solutions must adhere to industry regulations and compliance standards which you will ensure is met while also leading risk management efforts. You will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the business stays at the forefront of digital innovation within the insurance industry.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Insurance experience (Lloyd's Market experience beneficial).
• Experience in software engineering with time spent within a leadership position.
• Proven record of delivering complex digital platforms and solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
